Nothing better than seeing that power light on an amp

Speakers complete, put a little bit of sound deadening in just because It was open.
Sub box is done for now until I get round to sorting the fabric for the back, then I'll tidy it all up.
I'm still waiting on the tweeter adapters and a couple of rca Ys for the 4 Channel Amp, but I'm very impressed with just one of these hertz components amazing quality.

Re: 2008 Ravenna blue caddy build
Tweeter adapters turned up (got of eBay), not the best fit, but just re drilled the holes.
90-degree elbow cut down and put on for the intake, which I've been meaning to do for a while now.
Exhaust turned up also so I can get it all booked in for a map !!

Re: 2008 Ravenna blue caddy build
It's been a while since I updated this build. Van has mostly been at pd parts, getting a check over and exhaust fitted, and a map.
I'm hoping to get it back next week and commence the interior change. My kitchen has basically turned into a touran .
Tried some dark grey plastic paint on a piece of plastic in the back, and it's too grey for my liking, so I need my van back to match that so the front is blended in better.
Also received my gaiters in gti blue from retro retrims (taken 2 weeks) to come, which is what they specify but they look really good quality.

Carpets semi fitted, changed my crossovers as I wasn't a massive fan of the cheap other ones that came with the speakers.
Armrest is done too, but I forgot to take a photo
Just need some time to spray all the bottom plastics dark grey and put them back in, finish the gear gaiter as I couldn't find my staple gun.

What sound proofing did you use and how much did you buy?
Van is looking well!

I used some quite expensive stuff from vandilised called dead mat pro, I think I ordered about 120 sheets ish as they are only small, but the quality is unreal.

So sorted the gear gaiter tonight, and it's a perfect fit!
Also, a shot of the touran centre console, which I'm hoping to get the matching armest cover. Once I've completed the interior plastics in dark anthracite.

All lower plastics painted, the difference is so much better.
I ended up going with the pro xl smoke grey as it was the nearest match to the dash. All bits were fine scotched and washed, then given 3 coats of paint.

Re: 2008 Ravenna blue caddy build
Plastics are all fitted, look a lot better, and much darker, not a perfect match, but I'm happy enough.
Need to get some touran door cards and new seats and paint the top plastics and cover the headliner for the interior.

I tried the dark grey, which I thought was really grey (funny that).Brutus1989 wrote:Looks a good match tbh!

It's more of a like black/anthracite which I've been through the colours to match a panel with nothing coming up close except the smoke grey!

Re: 2008 Ravenna blue caddy build
No worries, mate, it's not too bad. I used about 2 and a bit cans for the bottom pieces, so I reckon you'll need about 5 ish.Brutus1989 wrote:Does look really good mate, I need to spray all mine so glad I stumbled across your page!
