Thank you!

I'm keeping the first gen front, i like them aswell!

More stuff painted! A fair bit of dust nibs in these, so they will need a flat and polish, but overall the finish is nice.

I think this color combo has potential, leaning towards doing the wheels in the same silver

Tidying up loose ends on the body, like seam sealing and such, not very good looking, unlike the more visible seams i put way more effort into making spot on

If all goes to plan, everything will be painted by next weekend

snuffegull ahh nice that’s what I like to hear, there’s far too many mk7 golf front ends about on the caddy’s now lol can’t be a preface lift.

Really loving this colour and I think you’re right the silver would look mint on the alloys it’ll really make the colour of the van stand out.

Yeah! I mean i do like the newer fronts, and hybrid bumper swaps, ive even helped a mate do a early mk3 to mk4 with a mk7 R hybrid bumper swap before.
Since i got this caddy i have been asked if im gonna swap it or been offered facelift and hybrid parts soo many times  but i dont want to do it!

I think im going for that color on the wheels, and the most recent model center caps, and the wheel bolt covers that say volkswagen on em, think thats gonna look mint

Interesting choice of colour. I spotted a Lexus in metallic sage the other day and it really caught my eye because it's not a colour I had seen before on a car. It looked really good! Will suit your van.

Seeing as you will have restored this van, keeping the front stock but with a unique colour will set it apart.

Checking color combos, still a little bit on the fence about this, but i'll have to see it assebled to make the final call. One combo i think could look better in the front is matte black ribs, black metallic grille trim, and keep the emblem as is. I might pick up yet another grille and do up like that to try

Thank you! I'm really itching to get it assembled also!

more stuff painted today! Only the body shell left now! Might redo the front lip, kinda thin on the ribs in the grille area, but you cant really see it when assembled anyway so we'll see

Just a few more details to refine, and a final masking, then its time to shoot sealer and paint :)

I wanted to to the front arches before paint, but i dont have the time right now, as i have a deadline approaching, so it will have to be done at a later date

Thanks guys!

Assembly has started! Every bit gets deep cleaned before they go on. and i'm putting brand new hardware on basically everything, as i have absolute tons of it hoarded over the years

I'm really digging the tinted mk4 tails against this color
