Hiya mate, what is the loom called? I can’t find them

I just searched "VW Caddy electric window loom" and found it on eBay. I think there are a couple options depending on your year

Been a while since I posted but haven't really been doing much to the van, just been driving it.

When driving it one day I got a big pop and then a lot of hissing - turns out the flange for the exhaust where it joins the EGR cooler had totally blown the gasket. Interestingly, the EGR cooler flap was totally seized solid, and the vac actuator attached to it had snapped from the holder. It had been previously glued so obviously been an issue for a while.

Anyhoo, EGR and cooler now completely removed and blanked.

Tonight I've just chucked a map on it (thanks to DrakeTDI). Engine light gone and a lot more power. Healthy power throughout the rev range up to a hard cut limiter at 4400 rpm.

As it's a BLS engine I also used some engine flush and did an oil and filter change. Pretty good looking oil that came out and it has full service history so I'm sure it has been well looked after to this point.

Oh I forgot to mention that I managed to get a hold of a touran front bumper and 4 pot headlights very very cheap indeed





It was blue, but I've sprayed it black for now. I am looking at either painting it white or painting the entire van in NATO Green. Haven't made my mind up yet though.

This weekends task was to fit the set of MK1 Audi TT seats I picked up cheap





Reading online this was totally impossible and not even worth attempting. Don't know what all the fuss was about really. That's them in, full range of movement available on them and they actually hold me in place when I go round a corner.

Had some issues lately, found the van to be getting pretty gutless under 3k and only returning about 35mpg.

Opened VCDS to log the boost



Red square is a 4th gear pull. Shows that there is pretty much zero boost control and it's only making boost with revs which explains why it feels like it does.

Tested vac lines and found that the little check valve wasn't working properly and was flowing both ways, so replaced that. Didn't make much difference at all.

I had put a new N75 on due to the previous boost issues, so had discounted that but I put the ond one back on, and surprise surprise, I had boost again albeit on and off.

New N75 ordered and fitted and that's it sorted

Next few things I need to do will be fitting the towbar I ordered last month, and I need to track down a rattle from the NSF, I think I have a dodgy droplink
