Liam wrote:airbag looms are not the same but disconnect the battery and cut the connectors from your existing seats and have them soldered onto the passat seats wire colours are the same on both plugs

you might be able to get an adapter to go from caddy airbag loom to passat airbag loom but im not sure, i cut and soldered and put heat shrink over the connections worked a charm - you may have to do some cutting at the passengers seat as the seat belt occupancy detector is wired differently but again i removed the wires from the caddy seats as they werent needed where they were going Image
Its scirocco seats (not sure if that makes a difference)! I'm never keen on splice and dicing tbh I'd probably do it wrong or cut a finger off.

Heres the seats and connectors.ImageImageImageImage

Yeah nor do I. I've not tilted it up to look and see what its attached to underneath.

Took all my strength to humph them up 3 floors to my flat! Calves and biceps for a good workout though.

if you take a look under them i think you will find its not part of the seat might be part of the old loom it was attached to

but you will use the big black plug on both seats from pic one for power to the seats

the little black plug is seatbelt occupancy sensor

and the yellow plug is the airbag one

That's what I'm hoping for! I've whatsapp'd @stantheman hopefully he can get me sorted soon. Weathers getting rank up here and not many dry days to get anything done.

Spent all day carpeting the back. Arguing with bulkhead and getting out ma face with spray glue!

if i can help in any way drop me a pm - stan isnt always the easiest to get hold of because he is mental busy with work but if you give him time he will get back to you eventually

he will need to get pics of the plugs on the seats and you will need to tell him which seat the control module is under - in my case it was drivers seat mine had a blue module so its easy to spot

I see a lot of people say about touran seat bases fit straight on to a caddy.
Will a 2005 touran base fit a 2011 caddy maxi?
