Hey folks,
Completely new to this stuff.
Picked up my first van - 2015, 76k, very clean, seems to run perfectly. My intention is to convert it into a little camper for overnighters and weekend breaks.
I managed to install the side windows at the weekend, and have ripped out the carpet lining the previous owner put in. After I've cleaned up the gluey, hairy mess that left behind, I'll make a start on running the wiring for the electrics.
On that note, I've decided to go the power station route, rather than leisure battery. It seems I've joined the hobby at just the right time, as the Bluetti Elite 100 v2 seems like an amazing bit of kit. So I've grabbed one of those, along with a Charger 1 for alternator charging. Also ordered a 200W solar panel for the roof. Possibly not much use in this country for most of the year, but it'll be an interesting experiment.
If anyone has any experience installing the Bluetti Charger 1 in a 1.6 Caddy, I'd love to hear any advice!
All the best,
Dunc.

Re: Ex BG Caddy Maxi -> Micro Camper
Looking forward to seeing some pics!
I considered going for the same power station but decided I could make something as good and cheaper if I built a battery system myself, alas, have ended up getting carried away and spending way more... Interested to see how you get on with it, they seem like a great bit of kit especially with the DC to DC charger they now do.
