Camper/bike setup

Post by daymo69 »

Hi guys

I've already got a bike mount setup but now looking to add a bed so I can do a few over nighters at events, what I'm planning is bike on the drivers side (see picture) & bed on the passenger side, I was thinking of using the double seat folded down then building a wooden frame behind it that is easily removable & have storage space underneath, I was thinking of using 12mm or 18mm ply for the bed

Any tips or advise would be much appreciated

Good insulation is key. Also as you have Windows all round I'd be looking for some really good black out curtains. Van-x are good.

Do you have window deflectors? Leaving windows down just a fraction will help minimise condensation and stop the van smelling like a teenage boys bedroom.

I looked at the curtains but I don't want a permanent install I'm looking at making something out of either foil backed bubble wrap or corex, maybe fix in place with Velcro or suction cups

Not yet they were on the xmas list lol, I was also looking for one of them boot latch things that allows you to lock the tailgate with a gap for air flow
